Intelsius participated in an grassland conservation initiative as part of its commitment to sustainability and promoting biodiversity. The CSR activity, which took place at Fulford Ings in York, involved 8 employees who carried out conservation activities for a grassland ecosystem recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The activities conducted by the  volunteers included raking and cleaning the meadow, a process which promotes a diverse plant community by giving the less competitive native species the opportunity to establish, while simultaneously reducing the spread of invasive or aggressive plants that can dominate the area. The native species help to improve soil structure and water retention, which boosts the natural biodiversity of the area and creates a space for other wildlife like birds and insects to thrive.

The team also pruned the trees and removed dead or overgrown branches to increase light penetration to the grassland.
