Intelsius are proud to support COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Lithuania with our BioTherm temperature-controlled packaging.
COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution in Lithuania
Working with a local cold-chain logistics provider, Armila, our BioTherm temperature-controlled packaging solutions will be used to deliver the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at -80°C to the five biggest regional hospitals across Lithuania; Vilnius Santara Clinics, Kaunas LSMU Clinics, Klaipeda City Hospital, Siauliai Hospital, and Panevezys Hospital.
The BioTherm’s ability to maintain internal temperature stability for up to 120 hours using dry ice means that no journey within Lithuania’s cold chain network is too far. Combined with dry ice, BioTherm solutions are perfectly suited to shipping vaccines requiring deep-frozen temperatures and have also been utilised for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Spain.
Intelsius CEO, David P. Walsh commented: ‘We’re immensely proud to extend our contribution to COVID-19 vaccine distribution to Lithuania. We’re committed to being a part of the ongoing solution to the challenges presented in this pandemic, improving patient outcomes and allowing people to return to normal as quickly as possible.’
Intelsius’ BioTherm temperature-controlled packaging systems span temperature ranges as low as -70°C with dry ice, up to 2 – 8°C and 15 – 25°C using advanced phase change materials, are fully compliant to IATA, ADR and DOT (49 CFR) transport regulations, and come with handles for easy last mile distribution.
