YORK, England – Intelsius, a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of environmentally sustainable, temperature-controlled, and regulatory-compliant packaging solutions, announced today that Neil Sherman had been promoted to Technical Services Manager. In addition to overseeing new product development, Mr. Sherman assesses new marketplace technologies, assists with technical sales inquiries, and manages the ISTA-certified testing laboratory. He will report directly to David Walsh, CEO.
“We are delighted to promote Neil; his industry experience and outstanding skills are assets to our company and clients,” said Walsh. “He has excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of understanding sales goals while providing strategic product development.”
Mr. Sherman has a Master’s degree in physics from the University of York and started his career at Intelsius as the testing officer responsible for improving knowledge of the cold pharmaceutical chain and temperature-controlled packaging. He was promoted to hard chain engineer in 2010 and was instrumental in designing and developing some of the most innovative packagings Intelsius has introduced.
“I look forward to using my knowledge to protect patient safety and propel continuing growth at Intelsius,” said Sherman. “We have more innovative solutions like PharmaTherm R™ and technical services that will be introduced this year.”
“Intelsius refined one of our best-selling product lines to stay ahead of the constantly changing pharmaceutical industry,” said Walsh. “All three new sizes provide optimal thermal protection for pharmaceutical products.” In addition, PharmaTherm R solutions are regulatory compliant to meet the qualifications in the new GDP Guidelines for the EU that expanded and became more uniformly regulated in September 2013. They were introduced to life sciences industry professionals at a conference and trade show in Luxembourg.
PharmaTherm R solutions are pre-qualified to the Intelsius High-Performance profile and maintain payload integrity during shipments for 72 hours. In addition, the three sizes available utilize the same size coolant across the range and have a universal pack-out making them easy to assemble, operationally friendly, tamper-evident, and economical to ship.
Mr. Sherman is originally from Walsall and currently makes his home in Pocklington.
