Working with local cold-chain logistics provider, Cool Chain, our ORCA temperature-controlled packaging solutions have so far helped deliver over 2 million doses of the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines in Andalusia, Aragon, Madrid, Extremadura, La Rioja, and Catalonia.

The ORCA’s flexibility has enabled it to support the delivery of all the available vaccines, using dry ice for both the Pfizer (-70°C) and Moderna vaccines (-20°C), and advanced phase changed materials (PCM) for the AstraZeneca vaccine (2-8°C).

And, with temperatures regularly reaching 40°C+ across Spain in the summer months, the ORCA’s performance and flexibility will continue to play a crucial role in the successful COVID-19 vaccine delivery programme in the region.
