Dr. F. John Mills, M.D., Ph.D.
With more than 25 years of executive and leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, Dr. Mills, was a spectacular addition to the board of Intelsius. His industry insight and specific expertise in temperature management technologies make him a natural fit for the growing company specializing in the design, manufacture and supply of temperature-controlled and regulatory-compliant packaging and transportation solutions.
Dr. Mills co-founded BioStorage Technologies Inc. (BST) in 2002, recognizing the need for the biopharmaceutical industry to store and manage samples for future biomarker and target identification as well as for analyses performed to meet regulatory requirements. BioStorage Technologies is recognized as the premier, global provider of comprehensive sample management solutions for the bioscience industry.
Prior to founding BST, Mills served for three years as corporate senior vice president and president of clinical support services for Covance, Inc. (NYSE: CVD), a leading contract research organization headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. For six years prior, Mills was based in the United Kingdom as corporate vice president for Covance’s European clinical division. Prior to his career with Covance, Mills held senior positions in Asia and Europe with Janssen Pharmaceutica, a division of Johnson & Johnson, Inc.
Mills received his M.D. from Cambridge University and his Ph.D. in endocrinology from Surrey University in the United Kingdom. He holds diplomas in pharmaceutical medicine, aviation medicine and marketing and has authored more than 40 scientific papers as well as a textbook on aviation medicine. He is currently writing another book, is a world traveler, enjoys golfing and avidly reads about 20th century history.
